THE NATIONAL PHILIP’S DAUGHTERS' FELLOWSHIP
Philip’s Daughters Fellowship (PDF) is a brain child of the President of WFI, Pst. Dr. (Mrs) N. E. Numbere, born out of the concern for single girls in the ministry. It is an umbrella under which single girls in the ministry are groomed to be God fearing and stable in all spheres of life. Prior to the formation of this body, the single sisters in the ministry were actively involved in the women fellowship.
The Int’l Director of GEWC, Apostle G. D. Numbere, by the leading of the Holy Spirit at the 2003 National Conference held at Kumran Bible College Nonwa, gave the group their name–PHILIP’S DAUGHTERS after the Daughters of Philip as recorded in Acts 21:8-9. The Philip’s Daughters are, like these models, to be chaste and committed to the service of the lord.
Philip’s Daughters Fellowship formally single sisters’ has existed for over twelve years now. These single sisters in the ministry, prior to the forming of a separate unit, functioned and were trained under the women fellowship.
The unit exists in virtually all the states where the ministry has its work e.g Rivers State, Abia, Cross River, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Delta, Lagos, Abuja/Suleja unit in other states are yet to be formally inaugurated.
The Philip’s Daughters’ Fellowship is aimed at grooming single sisters in the ministry of GEWC to be uniquely standing-out wherever they find themselves.
